Coach Eric Smith is coming into his 8th season as a baseball coach at a variety of levels.  He played and coached at NCAA Division 2 William Jewell College where he batted 1.000 and broke the record for appearances by a pitcher in a season his junior year with 22 of 49 games. This is his 4th high school baseball season, and 2nd here in Texas at Emerson.  He is not married or anything, but he does have two dogs, Pete and Dolly, who he thinks are pretty doggone cool. He teaches Business and Financial education.
